The mobility of youth workers gathered 30 participants from 6 countries and 4 continents! 🗺️ From Hungary, Slovakia, Kenya, Philippines, Peru, and the UK, to discuss the role of sport in the promotion of a sustainable environment and #SDGs

Throughout the week, many workshops, debates, discussions, and field activities were going on, and we are going to talk about them in detail over the next few days with you
And all these amazing activities were surely the result of cooperation with our amazing partners:

  • Resource Hub for Development – RHD, Kenya
  • Youth Innovation
  • ADEL Slovakia
  • BTG Philippines
  • Brigada De Voluntarios Bolivarianos del Peru

Day 1

After a 10+ hours flight to Lima, all the participants arrived from different corners of the world all the way to Miraflores safely, where we hosted the #training #course. Everyone was so excited about the first day, dedicated to building the bonds among the participants. We had funny name games, ice breakers and team building games in order to get to know each other a little bit more.

Later we went into details of the #project and the 5 upcoming days. #BAIS held a presentation about the #P4SE project and the expected outcomes of the TC. We had an amazing #workshop, where we distinguished the terms „Education to/for/through sport and sport for all” in the framework of a #brainstorming session.

Day 2

After the first fantastic day, we started with a presentation on the 17 sustainable goals of the United Nations which we tried to connect to sports! It was an excellent basis for a round-table discussion on the positive and the negative impact of sports on the environment, which actually led to a very cool debate among the participants!😉

We closed the morning session with another workshop where we used sport as a tool for promoting environmental awareness. The participants had to organize an eco-friendly major sport event while considering the most eco-friendly options at the phase of organization.
In the afternoon, all the organizations presented their good practices in terms of sport and sustainability, so we could get some inspiration for our future work from those!
After this very long day, we celebrated it with an amazing intercultural night! We had so many snacks, cool and eco-friendly gifts, amazing presentations about the countries and fun Kahoot games!

Day 3

On the 3rd day, we travelled to #Punta #Negra to meet the local NGO called the @Redmarinaperu, where we also developed Education through sport-based games to promote #environmental #awareness and #sustainability.🌎
Then we had a very remarkable body expression workshop by the #Ocean! After having a wonderful lunch provided by the NGO, later in the afternoon, we went to the clean-up the seashore!♻️

Day 4

After a very #productive day, we were ready to try out the #ETS-based games among ourselves. The games included play tags where the aim was to distinguish degradable and non-degradable wastes. After some practice sessions, we travelled to Vila Maria to meet the local community: „La semilla nueva” in order to play with the kids and #raise #awareness of the importance of sustainability.♻️
In the evening, the Peruvians held their amazing #intercultural night, where we had a chance to try some #traditional food and dances.💃🕺

Day 5

The days passed so fast and our wonderful week came to an end. We finished with an energizer, which led to a #competition and with the final #evaluation where we shared our experiences and thoughts. We also had our last meal together, where we received our certificates of participation.📜💙
In the afternoon the Peruvians closed the week with a city tour around Lima!🇵🇪💚
And we were set to finish this second and amazing part of our project and got ready to move to the 3rd part, the study visit to Kenya🇰🇪
