The Final Conference
All good things must come to an end...
…but the impact of the Play for Sustainable Environment project will continue to be felt for years to come! This amazing transnational project brought together six countries from three continents, who all shared a passion for using sports to promote environmentally friendly lifestyles.
Over the course of the project, we traveled to some incredible locations around the world. We kicked things off in beautiful Budapest, before heading to Peru for a training course with some friendly llamas. We then visited schools and NGOs in Kenya as part of a job shadowing program, before heading to the Philippines for an unforgettable trip with 36 inspiring young people. We ended the project on a high note with a final conference in snowy Slovakia.
The main idea behind P4SE was to increase awareness of the importance of using sports to promote environmental education. We wanted to up-skill young people and NGOs so they could become role models in promoting a sustainable future. Through games and sports-based education, we were able to make a real difference in the fight against climate change.
Special thanks to our partners who made this project possible: Youth Innovation, Resource Hub for Development – RHD, Kenya, ADEL Slovakia, BTG Philippines, and Brigada De Voluntarios Bolivarianos Del Perú Filial – Ayacucho Budapest Association for International Sports.
